May 24, 2002, Newsletter Issue #92: Journaling Genius

Tip of the Week

Use your computerīs word processor to print out titles for your scrapbook pages. Use whichever font you think will suit your page, up the size and type it using outline style. Then print it using draft or economy mode onto acid free, lignin free card stock. Go over the outline using a pigma ink pen and colour in as you wish.

If you want to keep suspect inks out of your scrapbook then print your heading on plain paper and trace from that onto your page or photo mounting card using a light box or a dry embossing technique. To dry emboss simply place the font over the top of card placed on a padded surface. Trace over it firmly using an embossing tool or ball point pen. Use a journaling pen to highlight the indent or cut around it to create die cut style letters.
